The second day of FUT 19's Team of the Year promo is in full effect.
Following last year's trend, the midfielders follow the attackers and are now in packs for the next 24 hours. Ballon d'Or winner and World Cup runner up medal recipient Luka Modric gets the kind of absurd blue special item many feel his outstanding January-December 2018 would merrit.
Joining him is France's all-everything N'Golo Kante. Kante had a brilliant World Cup (a final in which he was limited by illness aside), and even playing more forward now in first-year Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri's frenetic attack-minded system, still punches his time card weekly as one of football's elite midfielders.
Rounding out the group is Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne. KDB's fair share of injuries this past calendar year perhaps deserveldy merrited a lot of skepticism for his TOTY worthiness, but when healthy, there's no question he's amongst the game's very best. With Paul Pogba curbed by managerial incompetence much of 2018, perhaps only De Bruyne's Man City teammate David Silva would've had as strong a case to fill out the midfield.
As TOTW 16 gives way to 17 Wednesday evening, the midfielders will do the same to the defenders and goalkeeper. If you haven't already done so, make sure you login to FUT to cast your vote for Friday's 12th Team of the Year member.
