Goalkeeper
Hradecky
GK – Leverkusen - 83 -> 86 Rated:
There's no stopping Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen, whose latest scalp includes 10-man RB Leipzig, put to the sword on a rainy day at the BayArena following goals in either half by Adam Hlozek and Nadiem Amiri. Hradecky was one of their standout players defensively when Leipzig started to increase the pressure, ending the game with a total of five saves to make sure Leverkusen's run of form continues.
Defenders
Camavinga LB – Real Madrid - 79 -> 86 Rated: Real Madrid recorded a sixth clean sheet in seven games as their dominant end-of-season form continued with a 2-0 win against Celta Vigo in La Liga. Is there anything this kid can’t do? Incredible individual performance that drew the applause of the Bernabeu on multiple occasions. Dominated the game from the left back position and was the best player on the pitch. Completed 6 dribbles, won 11 ground duels, 5 bone-crunching tackles, 3/3 long balls, and 113 touches.
Schuurs CB – Torino - 75 -> 83 Rated: The Biancocelesti had won seven of their last eight league games heading into their 31st Serie A match of the season, but they were unable to maintain this momentum against Ivan Juric’s side, looking tired and unfocused after an impressive run of results and lost 1-0. Dutch defender Schuurs picked up a 7.5 match rating and MOTM from Gazzetta after his impressive performance, keeping the Lazio attackers at bay and made sure his side took all three points away from home.
Hummels CB – Dortmund - 84 -> 87 Rated: Borussia Dortmund moved to the top of the Bundesliga standings after cruising to a 4-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday evening. Hummels led from the front and made a couple of crucial early challenges to prevent Eintracht Frankfurt from taking the lead. He then scored the all-important third goal for Borussia Dortmund when the Eagles were threatening to claw their way back into the game. It was a strong performance from the 34 year old, who showed that he still has plenty left in the tank.
De Marcos
RB – A. Bilbao - 81 -> 85 Rated:
Athletic Bilbao continued their push for a top-six finish and recorded their third consecutive La Liga win, beating Almeria with 2-1. Right-back Oscar De Marcos could pick up his second inform this week after he scored one of the two goals for his side and picked up the highest match rating from Marca.
Midfielders
Paqueta CM – West Ham - 82 -> 85 Rated: West Ham blew Bournemouth away to pull six points clear of the relegation zone in a potentially season-defining 4-0 win. Paqueta oozed in class once again and like Antonio and Rice, backed up goals in midweek with another on the south coast. A good header at the end of Coufal's cross doubled West Ham's advantage and helped take an early stronghold in the game, which West Ham maintaned. Some fancy, but clever flicks and touches helped cause Bournemouth problems and he created some good chances for Antonio in the second half that were not taken.
Svanberg
CM – VfL Wolfsburg - 83 -> 86 Rated:
The chance of finishing among the European spots remains a distinct possibility for a Wolfsburg side who saw Mattias Svanberg net a double in a one-sided win against relegation-threatened Bochum and the Swedish midfielder should be secured to pick up his second inform this week.
Forwards
Joelinton LW – Newcastle Utd. - 75 -> 86 Rated: Newcastle speared through Tottenham with a five-goal first-half blitz on Sunday afternoon, eventually easing to a 6-1 Premier League victory to open up a six-point cushion above the fifth-placed north Londoners. There have been quiet a few players with a Man of the Match performance, one of those was Joelinton who ended up being named MOTM after his stunning display, pulling the strings and getting his name on the scoresheet.
Ducksch ST – Werder Bremen - 75 -> 86 Rated: Werder Bremen snapped a six-game winless streak in the Bundesliga, giving Pal Dardai a miserable start to his third stint in charge of bottom side Hertha Berlin. Man of the Match was Marvin Ducksch who netted a hat-trick and will be in the side this week without a doubt.
MacLaren ST – Melbourne City - 83 -> 86 Rated: Western United suffered a 3-1 loss to Melbourne City in its final home match in the 2022/23 Isuzu UTE A-League Men season. Jamie Maclaren stole the show, scoring a hat-trick for City and breaking the all-time record for the most goals scored by an individual in the A-Leagues.
Lukaku ST – Inter Milan - 88 -> 89 Rated: Inter Milan ended a run of 5 winless Serie A games and recorded a 3-1 win away from home against Empoli. After a lackluster first half, Lukaku’s second 45 was brilliant. The target man played an excellent one-two with Brozovic before taking a low, slow-rolling shot that found the bottom corner of the net. Later, he scored with a powerful shot that found the opposite corner, clinching the result for his side.
Substitutes
Johnstone
GK – C. Palace - 75 -> 83 Rated:
Everton ground out a point at Crystal Palace on Saturday, but the Toffees are back in the bottom three thanks in large part to home goalkeeper Sam Johnstone’s Selhurst Park heroics. The Palace keeper made five saves as the Eagles claimed a point to stay 12th with 37 point and despite not picking up MOTM I think he has a good chance to make it in.
Aaron LB – Mainz 05 - 75 -> 83 Rated: Mainz hit three second-half goals to claim a memorable comeback victory over leaders Bayern Munich and hand Borussia Dortmund the initiative in the Bundesliga title race. It was hard to look for an inform with no clear standouts so I'm going to take the punt on Aarons who was subbed on in the second half and scored his team's third goal of the game.
Thomasson CM – RC Lens - 77 -> 83 Rated: RC Lens recorded an impressive 3-0 win over AS Monaco on Saturday. The result sees Les Sang et Or take a huge step towards UEFA Champions League qualification and damages their opponents’ top-three hopes. Two goals and an assist from the Belgian made him the obvious man of the match but with him being named POTM and his SBC coming soon I doubt he'll be in and instead I'm predicting Thomasson who scored one and got an 8 from L'Equipe.
Verdi
CAM– Hellas Verona - 75 -> 83 Rated:
Hellas Verona recorded an important and unexpected victory in their relegation battle, beating high-flying Bologna with 2-1. Verdi was the standout and decisive player for his side, adding a brace of goals to his tally and picked up a 7.5 from Gazzetta.
Januzaj RM – Basaksehir - 78 -> 84 Rated: Istanbul Basaksehir went back on winning ways after two consecutive defeats, beating Giresunspor away from home with 4-2. They made the win quiet easy in the first 45 minutes where they scored all their goals and Januzaj scored two of them and also registered an assist.
Budimir ST – CA Osasuna - 76 -> 83 Rated: CA Osasuna went back on winning ways and handed Real Betis a narrow 3-2 loss on Saturday, putting more pressure on Betis and reducing their hopes of a potential top-four finish. Budimir scored two of the goals for Osasuna and with him being goal he couls sneak in this week.
Itten ST – YB Bern - 81 -> 85 Rated: Young Boys Bern extended their lead at the top of the table to now 19 points with a thumpong 6-1 in against Servette and with Cedric Itten scoring three of the goals and assisting another one he should pick up his second inform this week.
Reserves
Shankland CAM – Hearts - 68 -> 80 Rated: Lawrence Shankland scored a hat-trick as Hearts boosted their hopes of finishing third in the Scottish Premiership by thrashing Ross County and giving Steven Naismith a first win as interim boss. If Shankland is ignored we should see Ginnelly being included who scored twice and assisted another.
Romeny RM – FC Emmen - 62 -> 77 Rated: FC Emmen recorded a crucial win in their battle against relegation, beating Heerenveen 3-2. Romeny should pick up an inform this week after he scored all three goals for his side.
Marc Gual
ST – Jagiellonia - 67 -> 80 Rated:
Spanish forward Marc Gual is about to pick up his first inform this year after he scored three goals and assisted another in his side's 4-2 victory against Wisla Plock.
M. Uhre
ST – Philadelphia - 73 -> 82 Rated:
With a Concacaf Champions League semifinal series against LAFC ooming, Jim Curtin’s side made a statement Saturday evening at Subaru Park by jumping out to a 4-0 lead and eventually defeating Toronto FC with 4-2. Uhre took all the headlines as the Dane scored a hat-trick for his side.
Jutgla ST – Club Bruges - 69 -> 81 Rated: The highest scoreline came from the Belgium Pro League this week where Club Bruges recorded a thumping 7-0 at home against KAS Eupen. Spanish youngster Ferran Jutgla scored a hat-trick for his side and should pick up his first inform this week.
