Goalkeeper

Baumann GK – TSG Hoffenheim - 83 -> 86 Rated: Andrej Kramaric scored a superb free-kick to earn Hoffenheim a 1-1 draw at Bayern Munich, damaging the Bundesliga leaders' title charge while giving their own relegation hopes a much-needed shot in the arm. Oliver Baumann tho could be the player to pick up the inform after he made a total of seven saves and picked up a 2.5 match rating from Kicker.

Defenders

Miranda LB – Real Betis - 76 -> 83 Rated: Real Betis went back on winning ways after two consecutive La Liga defeats and reduced the gap to fourth placed Sociedad to now three points with a 3-1 victory at home against Espanyol. Miranda scored one of the goals from the LB position and could be in this week.

Stones CB – Man City - 83 -> 86 Rated: Erling Haaland tied the 38-game Premier League season scoring record with two strikes in Manchester City's 3-1 win over Leicester on Saturday. But with TOTS coming soon I'm instead looking at another player from City in the name of Stones. He showed how confident he is right now in his roaming position by smashing in the opening goal from outside the box. Dominant in defence and midfield before being taken off at half-time.

Nacho LB – Real Madrid - 82 -> 85 Rated: Real Madrid put on one of their best performances in recent memory with a 2-0 victory over Cadiz that could have easily been more emphatic had it not been for some heroics from David Gil in the hosts' goal. Played both left and right back on the night, opening the scoring in the 72nd minute (with a long distance shot from outside the box that nestled into the bottom corner.

Midfielders

Vormer CDM – Zulte Waregem - 76 -> 83 Rated: Zulte Waregem went back in winning ways and recorded an important victory in their relegation battle in the Belgium Pro League, beating KAS Eupen away from home with 5-1. Former Club Bruge midfielder and Belgian veteran Rudi Vormer was ouststanding against Eupen, scoring one of the goals and recording a hat-trick of assists.

Guus Til CM – PSV - 75 -> 86 Rated: PSV Eindhoven kept their hopes and chances of catching Feyenoord alive, although it's unlikely the leaders will drop 8 points. PSV still did their job away at Voldendam, recording a narrow 3-2 victory and with Guus Til scoring twice and assisting one he should be in this week.

Inaki Williams RM – A. Bilbao - 81 -> 85 Rated: Athletic Bilbao picked up a huge 2-0 victory against Real Sociedad on Saturday and strengthened their ambitions of a top-six finish, sitting just 4 points behind Villareal. Club icon Inaki Williams was the decisive player on that day, scoring both of the goals.

Antony RM – Man United - 82 -> 85 Rated: The Red Devils were back to their past at the City Ground on Sunday, earning a 2-0 win that gives them a three point lead in third place in the Premier League table. Antony was very dangerous and finally scored again in the Premier League. Unlucky not to strike again in second half but made amends with dream assist for Dalot.

Forwards

Griezmann ST – A. Madrid - 88 -> 89 Rated: Atletico Madrid recorded another La Liga victory, beating Almeria 2-1 at home and are now sitting just two points behind city rivals Real Madrid. Griezmann orchestrated everything for Atlético in the first half, scoring a header inside five minutes (with a defender tugging his shirt) and restoring the Rojiblancos’ lead with a crisp tap-in on 43 minutes. Martínez denied him his hat trick just after the hour, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a better player in LaLiga than Griezmann right now.

Watkins ST – Aston Villa - 78 -> 86 Rated: Aston Villa bullied Newcastle in a 3-0 win that moved them within three points of fifth place and dented the visitors' Champions League push. Ollie Watkins was bright and bullish, not giving Schar and Botman a moment's rest. Brilliant weight on his header to set up Ramsey and picked up two more goals in the second half. He's in oustanding form at the moment.

Werner ST – RB Leipzig - 84 -> 87 Rated: RB Leipzig recorded a narrow 3-2 win over Augsburg to firm up their top four charge. German international Timo Werner made the difference on that day, scoring a brace and also registered the assist for the third goal and should be in this week.

Substitutes

Di Gregorio GK – Monza - 83 -> 86 Rated: Inter Milan lost 0-1 to Monza in 2022/2023 Serie A Match Day 30 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, after a woeful performance, and haven't been able to make profit off of AC Milans draw earlier. Monza's goalkeeper Di Gregorio once again proved to be criticial for his side, making a total of six saves and picked up a 7.5 from Gazzetta.

J. Hector LB – FC Köln - 78 -> 84 Rated: There was a serious lack of options from the Bundesliga this week due to six draw, with four being a 1-1, so it's a bit of a punt including Jonas Hector who got an assist in Cologne's 1-1 draw against Mainz 05.

E. Eze CM – Crystal Palace - 76 -> 83 Rated: Southampton suffered their 20th Premier League defeat of the season on Saturday afternoon as Crystal Palace cruised to a 2-0 win at St Mary's. After Olise's masterclass the weekend before it was now Eberechi Eze to shine as he scored both of the goals and was classs thoughout the whole game.

Paintsil RW– KRC Genk - 81 -> 85 Rated: Genk went back on winnings ways after their defeat last weekend to Standard Liege and recorded a comfortable 5-2 win at home against Anderlecht. Paintsil seems to slowy but steady grow in attack after Onuachu left, adding a brace of goals and an assist to his name.

J. Doku RW – Stade Rennais - 75 -> 83 Rated: Stade Rennais beat Stade de Reims 3-0 at Roazhon Park on Saturday to pull into a provisional fifth in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. Doku earned comparisons with former LOSC and Belgium superstar Eden Hazard earlier in his career, but has hitherto failed to add the end product to go alongside his electric speed and dribbling skills. But performances like against Reims are why he was once the envy of almost every major club in Europe.

Solanke ST – Bournemouth - 75 -> 83 Rated: Tottenham missed the chance to move level on points with third-placed Newcastle after losing 3-2 against relegation-battling Bournemouth. A back-and-forth game went the way of the Cherries, who scored a stoppage time winner having been pegged back late on by their former winger Arnaut Danjuma. Solanke tho was the outstanding player in attack, scoring one goal and assisting the other two.

Icardi ST – Galatasaray - 81 -> 85 Rated: Galatasaray maintained their 6-point lead at the top of the Turkish Super League table after beating Kayserispor 6-0 at home. Mauro Icardi claimed Man of the Match after his incredible performance, ending the game with a hat-trick and an assist to his name.

Reserves

Wanitzek CM – Karlsruher SC - 72 -> 81 Rated: Karlsruhe came back from an early Bielefeld goal and recorded a 4-2 win at home against the visitors. Karlsruhe's Wanitzek scored twice and assisted another two and raised his season tally to now 10 goals and 11 assists.

Bernhardsson RW – IF Elfsborg - 69 -> 81 Rated: A back to back Allsvenskan inform could be on the way this week in the name of Bernhardsson from Elfsborg after he scored three goals in their 5-0 victory against Brommapojkarna.

Pellegrino LW – Bodo/Glimt - 72 -> 81 Rated: With the Eliteserien also being back in action for the second matchday we can expect another inform coming from there this week with Amahl Pellegrino scoring a hat-trick for Bodo/Glimt in their 4-0 win against Stabaek.

Marriott ST – Fleetwood - 68 -> 80 Rated: Another high-scoring game from one of the lower English leagues came from Accrington vs Fleetwood, with the better outcome for Fleetwood as they took all three points with a 5-2 victory. Marriott scored three of the goals and should be in this week.

Chaplin ST – Ipswich - 67 -> 80 Rated: Ipswich Town beat Charlton Athletic 6-0 on Saturday afternoon and with Conor Chaplin, an Ipswich Town Foundation trustee, finally netting a hat-trick on the day the club celebrates all the good done in the community by the club's charity arm after having scored six braces already this season.
