Goalkeeper
Leno GK – Fulham - 84 -> 87 Rated: Fulham pulled off a narrow 1-0 victory against Brighton & Hove with the win taking them into sixth place in the Premier League, just sitting three points off the Champions League places. Leno had a lot to do against Brighton and came in clutch with big saves against March and Mac Allister and was a big reason his side picked up all three points.
Defenders
Tavernier
RB – Rangers - 78 -> 84 Rated:
Glasgow Rangers recorded an important 3-0 win against Livingston ahead of their League Cup final against rivals Celtic. James Tavernier scored twice for his side, with one goals coming from the penalty spot, and should be in the side this week.
Abdelhamid CB – Stade de Reims - 76 -> 83 Rated: I'm not 100% sur about this inclusion but central defenders have been far from easy to select this week. Stade de Reims and Nice played out a goalless draw in the French top-flight and Abdelhamid made a couple of important tackles and interceptions, helping his side to keep the clean sheet.
Borna Sosa LB – VfB Stuttgart - 78 -> 84 Rated: VfB Stuttgart recored a much needed 3-0 victory and left relegation-zone, giving their head coach Labbadia the important first win. Croatian full-back Borna Sosa was one of the best players that day, scoring one from a free-kick and picked up a 2 match rating from Kicker.
Midfielders
Sergi Roberto CM – Barcelona - 80 -> 84 Rated: Xavi made a few changes to the Barcelona starting lineup against Cadiz and his side registered a 2-0 win, but it was by no means an easy one. Sergi Roberto played a bit of an unusual role at CM but despite a few positional mistakes he did a good job and was involved in both goals, scoring one and assisting the other.
Reus CM – Borussia Dortmund - 85 -> 87 Rated: Borussia Dortmund continued their insane run of form and recorded their eight win in eight games in 2023, beating Hertha Berlin 4-1 at home. Adeyemi, who was subbed off injured, was MOTM but with his recent Future Star item I'm instead going with Marco Reus who also scored one and assisted another.
Ward-Prowse
CM – Southampton - 87 -> 89 Rated:
Southampton picked up an unexpected but very important 1-0 victory against Chelsea London and boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation. The goal came from a free-kick and you already know it, James Ward-Prowse once again showed that he's one of the best free-kick takers in world football.
Bruno Fernandes RM – Manchester Utd. - 86 -> 88 Rated: Manchester United have closed the gap on second-placed Manchester City after a convincing 3-0 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag’s men now just three points behind their cross-city rivals. While most people expect Rashford to pick up the inform I'm instead prediction Bruno to be the man for his two assists.
Forwards
Tadic CF – Ajax - 84 -> 87 Rated: It looks like Ajax is back on track after they sacked Schreuder, recording another convincing win with a 4-0 against Sparta Rotterdam. Dusan Tadic scored twice and assisted another for Ajax and could pick up his first inform this week.
Mbappé ST – Paris SG - 92 -> 93 Rated: Paris Saint-Germain were only minutes away from suffering a fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions against Lille on Sunday, until late goals from Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi spared the blushes for the reigning champions after initially throwing away a 2-0 first half lead. Mbappe finished the game with two goals and with an 8 from L'Equipe I can see him in the side this week.
Immobile ST – Latium - 87 -> 89 Rated: One of the most reliable goal-scorers in the Serie A and finally back after a few injuries, Ciro Immobile once again proved his worth for his side. Lazio took all three points with a 2-0 over Salernitana and the Italian forward scored both goals, with one coming from the spot.
Substitutes
Perin
GK – Juventus - 79 -> 84 Rated:
Juventus secured another 2-0 victory away at struggling Spezia Calcio. Mattia Perin showed a confident display as he parried away two dangerous attempts from Gyasi and Nikolaou late in the match to earn his clean sheet and a 7 from Gazzetta.
Coleman RB – Everton - 76 -> 83 Rated: Everton secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Leeds United and moved out of the relegation zone. Everton's defender Seamus Coleman was the hero for his side as his goal from the tightest of angles secured the victory at Goodison Park.
Dani Rodriguez CM – RCD Mallorca - 76 -> 83 Rated: RCD Mallorca recorded a 4-2 win against struggling Villareal on the weekend and kept pace with sixth placed Vallecano. Dani Rodriguez was one of the best players for Mallorca, scoring twice and picked up MOTM.
Szoboszlai
RM– RB Leipzig - 79 -> 84 Rated:
RB Leipzig took all three points away in Wolfsburg, beating the hosts with 3-0. Nkunku made his comeback after long injury while Szoboszlai put his name on the scoresheet with his goal just before the final whistle.
Tsygankov
RM – Girona - 80 -> 84 Rated:
Girona recorded a thumping 6-2 victory against Almeria in the spanish top-flight on the weekend and Ukrainian midfielder Tsygankov, who joined from Dynamo Kyiv, scored one and assisted another.
Kalimuendo
ST – Stade Rennais - 76 -> 83 Rated:
Stade Rennais moved up to fifth in the Ligue 1 standings after beating Clermont Foot with 2-0 and Lille losing to Paris SG. U21 forward Kalimuendo scored both goals for Rennais and could be in this week.
Bradshaw ST – Millwall - 77 -> 83 Rated: Millwall boosted their promotion hopes and defeated Sheffield United with a thrilling 3-2 win at The Den thanks to a brilliant hat-trick from Tom Bradshaw.
Reserves
Vallys
CM – Brondby IF - 73 -> 82 Rated:
The Danish league restarted on the weekend and we can already see a player being featured in this weeks TOTW after Vallys scored three times in Brondby's 5-2 against Horsens.
Bech
CM – FC Ingolstadt - 65 -> 79 Rated:
Another player from a german divison who should be in this week is Ingolstadt's Tobias Bech after he scored three goals in their 4-3 win against Saarbrücken.
Crociata
CAM – Cittadella - 67 -> 80 Rated:
The only player without a hat-trick in the reserves this week is coming from Cittadella in the name of Crociata. The Italian midfielder still showed a great performance, scoring twice and assisting another in his side's win against Regina.
Luis Rioja
LM – D. Alaves - 74 -> 82 Rated:
Deportivo Alaves picked up another victory in Spain's second divison, beating UD Ibiza with 4-2. Midfielder Luis Rioja scored three of the four goals and should be in this week.
Kleindienst ST – Heidenheim - 71 -> 81 Rated: Heidenheim recorded a thumping 5-0 victory against Nürnberg and with Tim Kleindienst running riot and ending the game with 4 goals to his name he's secured an inform.
