FIFA 20 Team of the Week 9 Predictions

Last week's score: 11/23
Formation: 3-4-1-2
Squad Link:

Wojciech Szczesny - GK - OVR 86 There were three big shouts for Serie A keepers but with more and more emphasis placed on the big games by EA I just hand to opt for Wojciech. The Polish stopper was crucial for Juventus in their 1-0 win over AC Milan, making a total of seven saves to keep his clean sheet in tact.

Capa - RB - OVR 78 We have seen Capa snubbed a couple of times this year already but this time around he cements his spot in the side with both a goal and an assist in Bilbao's 2-1 win over Levante. Marca then awarded him a perfect three stars to add the cherry on the cake.

DeAndre Yedlin - RWB - OVR 76 Newcastle have impressed me more than their league position suggests and recorded another big three points at home to Bournemouth this weekend, coming from behind to win 2-1. Yedlin scored the first of those two goals and thus is in with a shout for TOTW.

Alex Telles - LB - OVR 84 Another strong LB looks set to be coming our way after Telles scored the only goal of the game in Porto's 1-0 win over Boavista. The bonus being that his goal wasn't from the spot as they often are. The Brazilian was then awarded a 7/10 which should be enough for his IF.

Dimitri Payet - LW - OVR 81 Payets scream item is actually one of the better items I have used on this game so far and thankfully this potential IF won't devalue that much at all due to the Frenchman playing out wide during Marseilles 2-1 win over Lyon. Payet scored both those goals and with an 8 from L'equipe should be making the side.

Radja Nainggolan - CAM - OVR 83 Now that we have seen the first SIF in Abraham we should be open to more and although Nainggolan has just a three week gap from his previous IF I just can't ignore the Belgian after his sublime performance in Cagliarli's 5-2 win over Fiorentina, with a goal and three assists to his name.

Donny Van De Beek - CM - OVR 81 The Eredivisie is slowly becoming a strong option for FUT Champ sides with several players getting usable special items, Van de Beek looks set to be the next after the Dutchman scored twice from CM in Ajax's 4-0 home win, taking them six points clear with PSV losing game after game as of late.

Mohamed Salah - RW - OVR 90 Now before you get too excited by this one it is a forced punt. I can't see Liverpool being ignored here but Fabinho, who was the obvious selection was in just two weeks again which I think is narrowly too soon. We then have to go to the second best player which for me is Salah. The Egyptian has been overshadowed for most the season by Mane but once again he came out strong in an important match, scoring the second goal for Liverpool.

Lionel Messi - RW - OVR 94 I was honestly shocked to see Messi not feature in last weeks side but seeing as he wasn't in the RTTF promo once again he looks set for a spot in the side. This time he managed a hat trick as Barca recorded a 4-1 win over Celta Vigo.

Robert Lewandowski - ST - OVR 89 This ones a big risk with Lewandowski potentially making POTM on Friday but with Gnabry also a shout and the things he has managed this past month its a difficult call to make and thus I am going with Lewandowski to make the cut for the IF after scoring twice in Bayern's 4-0 win over Dortmund. Alternatively we could see Mueller make it should Lewan be selected for POTM.

Deulofeu - ST - OVR 80 There were only a few Premier League options and we also lacked ST options with that in consideration I feel that Deulofeu could be a shout for this side. It was a relegation six pointer when Watford faced off against Norwich, with the Hornets coming out on top with a 2-0 win. The Spaniard was heavily involved in that scoring once and assisting the other.

Thomas Strakosha - GK - OVR 82 I mentioned that we had a lot of Serie A options this week and thus it has resulted in two Serie A keepers being selected from myself. Strakosha narrowly won keeper of the week in Italy and thus Musso is the player missing out from my list, although I wouldn't be surprised to see him either. Strak gets the nod for saving a penalty alongside eight other saves in Lazio's 4-2 win over Lecce.

Sergiy Kryvtsov - CB - OVR 75 EA have been good at awarding the smaller leagues IFs from big games this year, shown by the two hero items last week so if they then ignore this match I will be disappointed. Kryvtsov scored the only goal of the game in the biggest game in Ukraine with Shakthar winning 1-0 at home to Kyiv.

Patrick Herrmann - RM - OVR 77 Had Sommer not have received a random inclusion last week the Swiss international would be a sure thing for this side but instead I expect Herrmann to get in instead. The winger was also influential scoring twice in a 3-1 win over Werder Bremen, claiming a 1.5 from Kicker.

Denis Bouanga - CAM - OVR 75 The French selections were straight forward this week with a few 8's being handed out to expected players from L'Equipe. Bouanga was one of those, scoring twice in St Etienne's 3-2 away win.

Mislav Orsic - LM - OVR 81 Seeing as I have included Nainggolan with a three week gap I must also include Orsic. The Croatian recorded yet another hat trick as he tears apart both the Croatian League and the Champions League. I'm not sure how many he will score but this player is likely to hit the 90 mark by the end of FIFA.

Erling Braut Haland - ST - OVR 73 A name I mentioned that you will need to remember this year is Haland, well the striker has managed to net himself yet another hat trick. Additionally it came during a big match with Salzburg winning 3-0 away at Wolfsberger.

Ludovic Ajorque - ST - OVR 75 Another from Ligue 1 and once again its largely influenced by the fact L'Equipe awarded him an 8/10. The Frenchman managed to score once and pick up another two assists which should help him stand out. Especially with a lack of strikers to select from.

Victor Rodriguez - LB - OVR 73 We saw two hero items awarded last week for winning the league and surviving relegation and thus I would expect the trend to continue with Seattle winning the MLS title this weekend via a 3-1 win over Toronto. Rodriguez was MVP and thus I would expect the item to go his way.

Henry Matin - CAM - OVR 74 Martin looks to have been deployed in a CAM role rather than the natural ST position he would usually play and it looks as though the decision paid off with the Mexican scoring three and assisting another in Club America's 5-0 away win over Veracruz.

Christian Doidge - ST - OVR 66 Another hat trick, another potential TOTW selection. This time we go over to Scotland with Hibernian striker Doidge scoring three of their four goals in a 4-1 away win over St Johnstone.

Cyriel Dessers - ST - OVR 68 EA have been tight on giving the Dutch more than one IF recently, leaving players out as a result which is largely unfair in truth. Once again they have a few options to go with, Dessers was the official POTW though and with a hat trick to his name surely he makes the cut?

Rouwen Hennings - ST - OVR 74 We are seeing more and more hat tricks getting ignored recently which is making the prediction process significantly more difficult but with Hennings playing in the Bundesliga there is no way that he will be ignored, even though he drew and is silver. The German scored all three of Dussledorf's goals in their 3-3 away draw with Schalke.
