FIFA 19 Team of the Week 39 Predictions

Last week's score: 13/18
Formation: 4-4-2
Squad Link:

Jordan Pickford - GK - OVR 83 The UEFA Nations League could almost easily have a seperate promo to the TOTW, but I am willing to take the punt on a couple of players from it. Firstly, Pickford, who was magnificent in both England's semi final loss to Netherlands and the third placed playoff win against Switzerland. He primarily gets the nod from the latter of those two matches though after scoring a penalty in the shootout before making a save to make it back to back penalty shootout wins for England.

Shane Duffy- CB - OVR 76 I still feel that Shane Duffy can feel hard done by after his TOTS snub but that could actually help his inclusion into TOTW 39. The Irish CB scored their only goal in a 1-1 draw away at Denmark which with a lack of options makes him one of the few gold defenders in with a shot of this side.

Leonardo Bonucci - CB - OVR 86 It was difficult to find some bigger names for this side and although it is unlikely to matter with the current TOTS promotion ongoing, seeing as they have the chance to include a few. I can see them taking it. Bonucci is one of the bigger options after scoring one of Italy's three in their 3-0 away win over Greece.

Sergio Ramos - CB - OVR 91 With an exclusion from TOTS, which in fairness was prbably deserved it gives Ramos the opportunity for another IF this week and with a goal in a 4-1 win over Faroe Islands for Ramos he could well be included. Not only that but as a result of the Spaniards win he become the player with the most international wins to his name, overtaking previous holder Iker Casillas.

Willi Orban - CB - OVR 79 When it comes to TOTS this year if there was one player that stood out as the harshest exclusion without a doubt that would be awarded to Orban who has been superb both domestically and internationally this year. His performance for the latter this week is likely to see him awarded a TIF though after scoring twice from the back in Hungary's 3-1 away win over Azerbaijan.

Goncalo Guedes - LW - OVR 82 Should the UEFA Nations league end up counting towards TOTW than it is inevitable that we will see a Portuguese inclusion after they went on to win the trophy via a 1-0 win over Netherlands. Guedes was the only man to score andthus mking him the favourite. Especially with Ronaldo's hat trick ruled out due to being in the current TOTS side.

Maxi Moralez - CM - OVR 76 Another addition from the MLS now with NYCFC managing a convincing 5-2 win over Cincinnati. A few options occur from the match but Maxi Moralez looks to be the favourite after scoring once and adding another two assists.

Alekandr Golovin - CAM - OVR 79 Russia was always likely to come away with a big win when hosting San Marino, but with a 9-0 going their way, I have decided to include two players in this week's side, the first of which is Golovin. The CM had a direct role in three of the goals assisting two alongside also causing the OG.

Yevhen Konoplyanka- LW - OVR 79 A couple of seasons ago there would have been some serious hype surrounding a Konoplyanka IF, but after a couple of less stellar years for the Ukrainian, he just becomes practically another discard IF/SBC food. Ukraine put in one of the more convincing wins from the European games, beating Serbia, 5-0, from which Kono scored twice.

Marko Arnautovic- ST - OVR 82 I do feel that Monday fixtures will count towards TOTW, but at the same time I am being careful with them. Most of the options came via strikers with several scoring twice. Arnautovic is the one I have opted for in the end. His having had a Headliner item previously, which although we don't expect them to continue to be updated now that the Premier League is finished, could be a tiebreaker in terms of his Q-Score.

Eran Zahavi - ST - OVR 80 Zahavi has impressed for Israel as of late, having already picked up an IF from an international week this FIFA; he now looks set to pick up another. That is after he scored all three of Israel's goals in a 3-0 away win over Latvia.

Angel Galvan - GK - OVR 65 Remarkably I managed to get both keepers correct last week which when you consider who they were I was impressed with that. Once again I am confident on the two selected this week should the games count, with the second being Galvan after he made an impressive nine saves to keep his clean sheet for Tenerife in their 1-0 win.

Kaan Ayhan - CB - OVR 75 Turkey provided the shock of the week, beating reigning world champions France 2-0 at home. Ayhan scored one of those two goals and with him being a gold option he looks set to be the player to get the nod.

Saphir Taider - LW - OVR 75 There is a lot of debate surrounding which games are actually going to count for this week's side but MLS's are a set of fixtures which definitely will. Taider looks an obvious choice from the division after scoring twice in Montreal's 2-1 home win over Seattle.

Ilsinho- CAM - OVR 67 The final MLS option to make the cut for me this week comes after Ilsinho came off the bench with Philadelphia trailing 2-0 before helping to turn the match around with an eventual 3-2 win for the home side. The Brazilian provided the assist on the first of those goals before scoring both the second and third.

Fedor Smolov - ST - OVR 81 With Dzyuba not being in the game this year due to licensing issues, the Russian selection from their 9-0 win over San Marino becomes difficult with him scoring four and assisting another. The fact that Smolov once had an OTW item -- which again we don't expect to continue being upgraded -- makes me lean his way through. He came off the bench to score twice which could be enough for his first increase.

Teemu Pukki - ST - OVR 71 Recent times have not been great for Finland but they will be impressed with their latest result, coming with a 2-0 win over Bosnia who are a very respectable side at the moment. Pukki was the man to score both of those goals which makes him a favourite for TOTW 39.

Patrik Schick- ST - OVR 77 We end the prediction with another match from the European qualifiers after Schick scored both goals for the Czech Republic during their 2-1 home win over Bulgaria. A result which makes them only the second team to pick up a win in the group after several draws have occurred.
