FIFA 19 Team of the Week 36 Predictions

Last week's score: 13/23
Formation: 3-4-1-2
Squad Link:

Gianluigi Donnarumma - GK - OVR 83 The first of two selected IFs which already have a ridiculous amount of IFs is Donnarumma. Yet again, the Italian showed why he is one of the best up and coming keepers in the world with a brilliant performance between the sticks to keep his clean sheet intact, saving a penalty in the process and claiming an 8/10 match rating from Gazzetta.

David Alaba - LB - OVR 85 Another title race that went down to the wire, and another that ended up with the favourites winning. Bayern secured yet another title with a comfortable 5-1 home win over Frankfurt. It was a brilliant team performance to close out the title, but Alaba in particular impressed, scoring once and assisting another from LB.

Thilo Kehrer - CB - OVR 79 It's rare that when a side wins 4-0 that a CB without any goal contributions stands out, but it Kehrer's case as he managed to pick up MOTM, which shows just how good he was this weekend. PSG fans have a lot to look forward to in the future.

Junior Firpo - LWB - OVR 75 Real Madrid has been in turmoil for parts of this season, and it was another disappointing result for them while hosting Betis with the away side coming away with a 2-0 win. Firpo looks set to pick up the IF from the match after providing an assist and helping towards the clean sheet.

Fabian - LM - OVR 81 Annoyingly, Gazzetta only awarded Fabian the average rating of 7/10, but with the Spaniard scoring twice and assisting another in a 4-1 win, I simply can't ignore him despite his not picking up the official MOTM award. Italy was by far the most difficult for selections, which only increases the chance of Fabian for me.

Rodrigo Javier De Paul - CM - OVR 77 Continuing with the theme of Gazzetta's harsh scoring, we have De Paul, who once again was given the modest score of a 7/10. But with three assists to his name, I don't feel that he will be overlooked. As a result of De Paul's assists, Udinese went on to win, 3-2.

Memphis Depay - CAM - OVR 84 The first of two big names I have selected from Ligue 1 is Memphis Depay. With the joint highest rating of the week when it comes to L'Equipe, Depay was awarded an 8/10 and looks set to make it. Playing in a CAM role, the Dutch talent managed to score twice during a 4-0 Lyon win.

Paulinho- CAM - OVR 85 The CSL has been snubbed time and time again so far this FIFA, but with leagues beginning to finish, I can see them picking up a fair few over the next couple of months. We start things off with a very decent IF in Paulinho, after he picked up both a goal and an assist.

Nicolas Pepe - RM - OVR 79 Could we be about to see yet another Pepe IF ahead of TOTS? I am potentially pushing it here with the Ivorian picking up his last IF five weeks ago. But with the Headliner dynamic item influence, alongside the fact we are without the Prem this week, could mean we see him included as a big name. Pepe added another two to his tally during Lille's 5-0 home win over Angers.

Haris Seferovic - ST - OVR 73 Another title that was decided on the final day of the season was in the Portuguese league with Benfica's seventh consecutive win allowing them to deny Porto the chance of catching them. The latest came via a 4-1 home win over Santa Clara, with Seferovic scoring two of those four goals.

Wout Weghorst - ST - OVR 77 There is an outside chance of Weghorst making the Bundesliga TOTS and as a result, would end up missing out on his TIF. But just as Schar, I expect him to narrowly miss out and thus make TOTW instead. He gets the nod after scoring three and assisting another in Wolfsburg's 8-1 demolition of Augsburg.

Bill Hamid - GK - OVR 74 Leagues such as MLS often thrive when other leagues start dropping, and there are several which could easily feature this week. One of those is former US international Bill Hamid, who in total made an impressive 12 saves to keep his clean sheet. With no clear goalkeeping options outside of Donnarumma, I can see him making the cut despite being a NIF Silver.

Mantovani - CB - OVR 75 There were a lot of contenders from defence from La Liga, but Mantovani stands out after managing to score twice for Huesca in a 2-1 win. He also scored the third. but that was in his own net. Regardless of that, with a perfect three-star performance from MARCA, I expect him to feature.

Morgan Sanson - CM - OVR 80 Although teammate Sakai managed a goal and an assist from RB, Thauvin had two goals and an assist from RM. L'Equipe actually awarded him MOTM with an 8/10 for his goal. Bizarrely, Thauvin was one of the worst with a 6/10. L'Equipe is usually a good indication of who will be getting IFs from France though, and I expect the same again here as per usual.

Alexandre Golovin- CM - OVR 79 This is probably the final chance EA is going to have to finally give a boost to Golovin's OTW item, and with it being so late in the domestic season portion of the game, I can see it finally coming. The Russian managed a goal and an assist in Monaco's 2-0 home win, seeing him claim a 7/10 from L'Equipe.

Djaniny - ST - OVR 77 There have been a few players from the Saudi division which have been racking up the IFs, and Djaniny is another of those. The Cape Verde striker added another three goals to his tally during a 5-0 home win, which looks set to allow him to pick up his third IF.

Nils Petersen - ST - OVR 79 With the Premier League not in action, it was helpful that the Bundesliga delivered and I expect multiple IFs to come from the league as a result. Petersen scored twice and assisted another during Freiburg's 5-1 home win over Nurnberg.

Lucas Alario - ST - OVR 79 The final week in Germany saw goal after goal. Leverkusen was another to get five plus, during a 5-1 win over Hertha, Alario scored three of those five goals, helping the side clinch Champions League football in the process and thus making him a near certainty for this week's side.

Baris Atik - CAM - OVR 64 It's been a while since I have included a Bronze NIF in a prediction, but Atik looks set to change that after he scored three from CAM in Dresden's 3-1 home win. The result almost threw Paderborn out of an automatic promotion spot.

Cody Cooke - ST - OVR 58 Another potential IF from a Bronze item now after another hat trick was scored, this time over in Scotland with St. Mirren coming away win a 3-2 win thanks to three goals from Cody Cooke.

Robert Beric - ST - OVR 75 Should EA's selection follow the route of this prediction, Beric would be the sixth Ligue 1 selection, which could be seen as excessive. But they all have a reason to be there, and with L'Equipe handing out several 8s, they become more and more difficult to ignore. Beric was another player with an 8 to his name, which he claimed for his brace in St. Etienne's win.

Chris Wondolowski - ST - OVR 70 Just weeks after the first few Record Breaker items were released this FUT, we look set to have another. This time after the man known as Wondo managed to break the all-time MLS goalscoring record, previously set by Landon Donovan. Not only did the Earthquakes talisman manage to break the record, but he did so in style, scoring four goals San Jose's 4-1 win over Chicago taking him to a career total of 148 goals and smashing the previous high of 145.

Yannick Gomis - ST - OVR 67 Lens managed to secure a promotion playoff spot on the final day of the season with a 5-2 home win over Orleans. Gomis helped to ensure that was the case with three of those goals being from the boot of the Senegalese striker.
