FIFA 19 Team of the Week 34 Predictions

Last week's score: 17/23
Formation: 3-4-1-2

Walter Benitez - GK - OVR 76 We start the week with a familiar face from predictions over the course of FIFA 19 with Benitez, who has been magnificent for Nice all year. With the scores at 1-1 deep into injury time, PSG was awarded a penalty to steal to win. Benitez had other ideas though, stopping Cavani's effort to go alongside his four other saves and thus makes my prediction.

Lukas Klostermann - RWB - OVR 75 Although Leipzig managed to throw away a three-goal lead, to end up drawing 3-3 I have still included Klostermann, that I after a first-half brace from the RWB saw the German go on to pick up MOTM from Kicker. Two goals for a gold defender is something which rarely gets ignored.

Trent Alexandre-Arnold - RB - OVR 78 The title race has been closer than it has in a very long time with both Man City and Liverpool refusing to drop points. Liverpool ran it close this weekend with a 3-2 win over Newcastle with the final goal coming late on as a result of a free kick, Trent picked up two assists from RB and with how much that win meant I can see it resulting in an IF.

Joshua Kimmich - RB - OVR 86 There's potential for a nice little boost to Kimmich's stats before an inevitable TOTS upgrade for the Munich defender after his performance in Munich's 3-1 win over Hannover stood out. He only supplied one assist on paper but with a 1.5 match rating to go alongside that he becomes difficult to ignore.

Rafa - LM - OVR 79 Benfica maintained their top spot going into the closing stages of the Portuguese league with a convincing 5-1 home win over Portimonense. Rafa's brace was enough to see him pick up MOTM with a 9/10 match rating.

Charles Aranguiz - CM - OVR 81 By far the biggest game of the weekend in Germany was Frankfurt v Leverkusen with a Frankfurt win all but securing an impressive 4th spot for them. That was anything but the case though with Leverkusen destroying them 6-1, putting the two sides level on points with 2 games to go. Aranguiz was the official MOTM in a match which has several candidates, for his goal and two assists. The Chilean also claimed POTW.

Eden Hazard - LW - OVR 91 Now, I don't think that Hazard actually deserves a spot in this side, but I do feel that EA need a big name in the side and without him, it would be one of the worst sides to date. The Belgian picked up two assists in a huge win for Chelsea, which puts them in the driving seat for Champions League football next season.

Bruno Fernandes - LW - OVR 84 Fernandes has been simply ridiculous this season and regularly hits 8/10 on match ratings, becoming Sporting's most crucial player this season with his performances coming week in week out. Sporting managed an 8-1 away win this weekend and once again it was Fernandes behind the majority, with three goals and one assist to his name

Fabio Quagliarella - ST - OVR 82 It is nothing short of astonishing what Quagliarella has managed for Sampdoria this season, another two goals were added to his tally, putting him on 25 for the season during a 3-3 away draw. With an 8/10 from Gazzetta he stans out for a TOTW selection which could easily see him pick up his fourth IF of the year.

Marko Arnautovic - ST - OVR 82 West Ham have picked up some serious form towards the end of the season, winning five of their last seven matches. The latest came via a 3-0 home win over Southampton from which Arnautovic scored twice. With a headliner item to his name, I feel that he will get the nod over teammate Fredericks who scored the other goal.

Santi Mina - ST - OVR 80 Valencia ran away as 6-2 winners when travelling to Huesca with a few options for an IF coming from the match. The obvious choice is the one I am opting for here in Santa Mina. The Spanish forward scored twice and assisted another two, claiming three stars from Marca in the process.

Marko Dmitrovic - GK - OVR 79 I could have easily included at least four goalkeepers this week with so many performing to a high standard but realistically we are only going to see two and thus I have narrowed it down and opted for those who saved penalties. Dmitrovic was one of those, helping Eibar to a 1-0 win by doing so.

Felipe - CB - OVR 75 Another defender with two goals to his name now, this time with the bonus of a clean sheet to his name as well. Felipe's brace in Spal's 4-0 win saw them continue their impressive run of form which has seen them rocket up the league table in Italy and are now safe of the drop by quite a distance.

Remy Cabella - CAM - OVR 78 Very little was offered from Ligue 1 this week in terms of IF options but the two we have, seem nailed on. The second of which is Cabella who picked up an 8/10 from L'Equipe for a goal and an assists in St Etienne's 3-2 away win over Monaco.

Taison - LM - OVR 82 Shakhtar Donetsk went nine points clear at the top of the Ukrainian division with a 5-0 home win. With it being a playoff style match there are some doubts towards if the match will count as they are seemingly very inconsistent on this decision but with three assists to Taison's name I find it difficult to ignore him.

Fernando - CM - OVR 79 With Galatasaray facing Besiktas not only was it a rivalry game but it was also a crucial one in terms of the title race. Gala went on to win the match 2-0 and as a result, went top of the table. Fernando had a say in both goals, scoring one and assisting the other which I think will be enough for him to sneak in under the circumstances.

Josef Martinez - ST - OVR 82 With a lack of gold striker options, it became difficult to select from the braces scored. In the end, I opted for Martinez with the striker being the only real MLS option and with a high match rating he could stand out to EA.

Mariano - ST - OVR 80 Mariano has not really been given the chance to perform at Madrid since joining in the summer but now that the title is already decided he got some game time in a makeshift Madrid side. It's a chance that he impressed with, scoring twice in a 3-2 win. With Mariano having an OTW item to his name with it being the first chance he's had all season to pick up an upgrade I feel as though it's one that EA will opt for.

Jozo Simunovic - CB - OVR 71 The first of two players I have selected due to title wins is Celtics Simunovic. The defender scored one of the three goals in a comfortable 3-0 win, which secured yet another Celtic SPL title.

Amor Layouni - LW - OVR 63 With a number of leagues not in action this weekend the reserves section was significantly more difficult to select without the number of hat tricks we have been accustomed to recently. One player that did manage to score three however was Layouni. The Bodo LW scored three of their four goals in a 4-0 win.

George Moncur - CM - OVR 68 As mentioned there was only a couple of hat tricks this week which usually would have been a pain for predicting but with multiple sides securing the title it did open opportunities for IFs there. One side which managed to do just that was Luton and with Moncur scoring twice from CM he seems a valid shout.

Ivan Toney - ST - OVR 66 With the English lower divisions playing twice in this selection period I have opted for the punt on Toney after he impressed in both fixtures. Firstly scoring twice in Peterborough's midweek match before going one better and scoring another two and adding an assist as they narrowly went on to miss out on a playoff position.

Philipp Hofmann - ST - OVR 68 We conclude this week's prediction with a final hat trick, this time coming from the third division of Germany with Braunschweig's Hofmann scoring all three of their goals against bottom of the table Aalen.
