Yann Sommer - GK - OVR 84 Once again I am opting for three goalkeepers in the selection process with the first being Sommer. Sommer, has picked up a lot of recognition from EA this year with a Winter Upgrade, three IFs and a Headliner item all going the Swiss's way. There's a good reason for that though with Sommer being magnificent throughout for Gladbach, being one of their best performers in an impressive campaign for them.
Manuel Akanji - CB - OVR 78
I was debating leaving Akanji out of my prediction before the voting list was released as personally, I feel there are better options. But with the Swiss defender playing for Dortmund, alongside the fact he has 80 Pace, makes him an obvious choice in the voting system and thus he becomes a player I simply can't ignore.
Niklas Sule - CB - OVR 84 With EA announcing Sule as one of the Most Consistent contenders (which culminated in the community making his coronation complete), it's obvious that they rate him highly, with much the German breaking into Munich's starting side more regularly this season and performing well to keep his spot. You could easily argue that he has been their most important player at the back for them, helping them to a sublime defensive record.
Joshua Kimmich - RB - OVR 86 After the Lahm era, many were unsure how Bayern Munich would be able to replace such an iconic player who held down the RB position for so many years. Although he is not at the level of Lahm just yet, Kimmich is developing into one of the best RB's in the world and looks to hold a Bayern starting spot down for years to come. It was another impressive season for the RB who not only helped his club to the second best defensive record in the division, but also helped by chipping in with 12 assists down the right-hand side.
Filip Kostic - LM - OVR 77
What better way than to get a controversial selection out the way early on. While I think he should probably be an LWB, even at LM, he stands a chance, which is why I am more than happy to include him in my side. With six goals and ten assists to his name, he has thrived alongside the youthful group which alongside Ajax have been the most impressive young sides this year.
Karem Demirbay - CDM - OVR 82
When a player picks up a Winter Upgrade item, especially when it comes away from goals and assists, you know that EA rates them highly and with Demirbay also leading the Kicker ratings for midfielders, it's seemingly a no brainer to select him for TOTS. The German has performed well all season holding together Hoffenheim midfield and has also chipped recorded four goals and eight assists which for a player like Demirbay is simply a bonus.
Marco Reus - CAM - OVR 88
Continuing with Dortmund, we have Reus, who is likely to be awarded player of the season as well after picking up three POTM awards -- something you rarely see. His continuously high level of performances have seen him pick up 16 goals and 8 assists from midfield and no less than seven special items in this year's game. I'm unsure just how high EA will take Reus's rating this year, but I expect 97 at the least.
Jadon Sancho - RM - OVR 78
The long hyped City wonderkid, Sancho's finally had his breakthrough season, dominating the Bundesliga and currently leads the assist chart with 14 to his name. He also has 11 goals to add to that tally and deservedly so picked up an England call up.
Robert Lewandowski - ST - OVR 90 As is expected now Lewandowski looks set to run away with the Golden Boot award after scoring 22 goals in his 32 appearances, putting him four ahead with one game remaining. The Polish striker also has seven assists to his name putting him on a contribution per game but when you consider that Munich is free-scoring with 78 goals in total there have arguably been more influential players this season.
Luka Jovic - ST - OVR 80 Its been a brilliant season for Frankfurt of whom find themselves competing for fourth place which can be associated with some fantastic youth players that have broken through for them. None have been more influential than Jovic though with the 20-year-old Serbian scoring an impressive 18 times for them, attracting interest from all over for the upcoming transfer window.
Thorgan Hazard - RW - OVR 83 I actually found it surprisingly difficult to include a Gladbach player, which considering they are currently up in fourth position is slightly surprising. Hazard looks to be one of theirbetter options and I do expect them to receive at least one player from the 23-man squad. So with both ten goals and ten assists Hazard was the best option for the right flank.
Peter Gulacsi - GK - OVR 79 With such an impressive defensive record, I find it hard for Gulacsi not to pick up a TOTS item, despite the big names of Burki and Neuer both still being in contention.
Will Orban - CB - OVR 79 Continuing from the impressive Leipzig defensive record we have another player who has played a significant part in that with Orban, Orban decided to change his nationality from German to Hungarian this year which could be seen as a shame for Germany with Boateng and Hummels both coming towards the end of their careers, he offered something different for them. Orban was actually the first defender on my list for this prediction.
Kai Havertz - CAM - OVR 81 The talent that Leverkusen have with Havertz is clear to see. The youngster has stepped up for them this season, arguably developing into their main man, which at his age is a lot to cope with. In total the German midfielder has managed to find the net onsixteen occasions, alongside chipping in with three assists.
Axel Witsel - CDM - OVR 85 With Witsel picking up a big +3 boost from the Winter Upgrades, it's obvious that EA rates him highly. That was further cemented when they included him in the TOTS vote and deservedly so after the Belgian has been brilliant from CDM for Dortmund. He has also added four goals to his game which is a good additional when his defensive abilities are what makes him stand out.
Andrej Kramaric - CAM - OVR 83 Kramaric is an interesting one simply because of the positional split in his games with the Serbian playing ST, CAM and CM various times throughout the season. Due to that I am opting for the middle of those three positions and including him as a CAM option. Regardless of the position, EA decides Kramaric should easily feature in TOTS after claiming 16 goals and 4 assists for Hoffenheim this year, being a huge reason towards why they are fighting for European football this season.
Paco Alcacer - ST - OVR 79 This is a very unusual situation with Alcacer only starting a relatively lmited matches for Dortmund, he sits as the second highest goalscorer in the division with 17 and if this does go the route of a fan vote there is no way that he misses out. We have also seen inclusions such as Balotelli in Ligue 1 for a similar amount of starts in the past.
Timo Werner - ST - OVR 84 For me, Werner was actually on the fringe of this side and could have easily been left out but I also feel that his name in the Bundesliga holds a lot of weight and thus he will get the nod over the other players with similar records to him. With 16 goals and seven assists, it has still been a respectable season for him but he has more about him in my opinion.
Roman Burki - ST - OVR 81 This is a difficult one, particularly after Burki's rough end to the campaign. The Swiss stopper overall still has a superb record to his name and has made multiple highlight reels with some magnificent double and even triple saves throughout the season. I would be surprised not to see Burki in the side this year, tough finish and all.
Jerome Roussillon - LB - OVR 80 Roussillon has been snubbed time and time again when it comes to TOTW which has been frustrating from a predictor's POV and once again he is on the fringe of this side too. That being said with an impressive average Kicker rating to his name I can see him sneaking into the side, especially with very little competition coming from the LB position.
Thiago - CM - OVR 87 Thiago is a late addition to this side after being involved in both Community TOTS and Bundesliga TOTS voting, both lists of which were released from EA meaning its obvious that they have been impressed with the Spaniard this season. I also expect Thiago to do well in both votes and due to that, it would be stupid to exclude him from this prediction.
Yussuf Poulsen - ST - OVR 79 It was always a close call between Poulsen and Werner for TOTS and although I have ended up including both it looks as though EA have favoured Poulsen after his inclusion in the vote over Werner. Both have been brilliant for Leipzig throughout the season though and with 15 goals for the Danish striker, I would be surprised if he misses out.
Sebastian Haller - ST - OVR 81 Should TOTS MC occur again I expect this one to be a re-release with Haller somehow not yet picking up an IF. The Frenchman has been largely outshone by teammate Jovic but Haller has also been huge to their success this campaign. With 14 goals and 9 assists this his name he has actually contributed to one more goal than Jovic himself.
Mats Hummels - CB - OVR 89 A slightly controversial selection now due to the fact that Hummels has only managed a (for him) lesser number starts for Munich. But in the past we have seen additions for far less, and with not only Munich's defensive record to boast, but also his name in general, it stands for a lot when it comes to TOTS selections. Although he narrowly misses out on my final 23, I do think he has a chance at an SBC and thus makes one of my three additional slots.
Makoto Hasebe - CB - OVR 77 A lot of Frankfurt's success has come through the youth that has excelled this season but on the other end of the specutrum, we have 35-year-old Japanese defender who has been crucial for them at the back all year. Hasebe currently boasts the highest average rating from Kicker for defenders, and due to that, I can't see him missing out entirely.
Max Kruse - CF - OVR 82 Kruse is a popular player among other predictions but I just couldn't fit him into my 2- man squad with the competition being high for striker spots. That being said, I do feel as though he is a strong candidate for an additional player with his stats on FIFA being very middle range. The German has been crucial for Werder Bremen, scoring eleven goals and assisting another seven, which for a midtable side is quite impressive!
