Last week's score: 16/23
Formation: 3-4-1-2

Goalkeeper

Salvatore Sirigu - GK - OVR 82 As much as I was tempted to include Lloris as the keeper, the fact he wasn't MOTM just put me off in the end. Instead, we have opted for Sirigu, with the Italian league being tough to select from. Sirigu made a total of four saves in Torino's 3-0 win and was awarded Man of the Match with a 7.5 from Gazzetta.

Defenders

Fabian Schar - CB - OVR 75 Schar has always had that goal threat behind him, but not many were expecting him to hit the opening goal in the style he did during Newcastle's 2-0 home win over Burnley. Schar's wonder strike awoke what had been a dead game prior to the goal. February Player of the Month candidate Sean Longstaff was also on the scoresheet -- with the youngster continuing to impress -- but I expect the IF to go Schar's way here.

Pique - CB - OVR 87 Barcelona will inevitably pick up an in-form after their 1-0 win over Real Madrid, but the selection process is a tough one. Ivan Rakitic scored the only goal; however, he was only awarded a two-star performance grade from MARCA. Both Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique picked up three stars, and thus I expect this one to go Pique's way after a brilliant display throughout at the back.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - RB - OVR 78 Honestly, there were no less than four players I could have easily included from Liverpool's 5-0 win over Watford. Realistically though, there will be a maximum of two and as few as one is likely. For me, TAA has to be the favourite though after dominating the right-hand side, providing the assist on three of Liverpool's five total goals.

Midfielders

Steven Zuber - LM - OVR 76 Stuttgart pulled off an impressive 5-1 home win while hosting Hannover with a couple of IF options coming from that match. First, we have Ozan Kabak, who scored twice from CB. But I just can't see more than one Stuttgart IF occurring, and thus I have to go with Steven Zuber, who scored twice and assisted another from LM and was awarded the official MOTM in the process.

Gylfi Sigurdsson - CAM - OVR 82 Sigurdsson has always been a threat in the Premier League, no matter who he has been playing for. It used to be for Swansea, but the Welsh side saw his talent in a different way, with the Icelandic midfielder scoring twice past them to help secure a 3-0 win for Everton.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan - CAM - OVR 84 I was iffy on the prediction of Mkhitaryan last week, but he ended up getting the snub from EA. Seven days on, and once again I am predicting him to pick up an IF. This time with more confidence, however, with the Armenian scoring once and assisting another two in Arsenal's 5-1 home win over Bournemouth.

Dorlan Pabon - RM - OVR 76 Pablon was the final addition to my side this week. I could have gone about it in numerous ways with several positions coming into the debate. In the end, I opted for the usual formation format as it has the most chance of occurring, and thus Pabon gets the nod out of roughly eight total options. The Colombian winger scored both Monterrey goals as they recorded a 2-0 win down to ten men.

Forwards

Romelu Lukaku - ST - OVR 87 Lukaku has been out of favour, so to speak, for a while now. But the Belgian is back in the side and back scoring goals in a big way. He was vital in both United games this week, scoring braces in each. The big man's goals often come in patches, so I expect him to score more during the upcoming weeks.

Fabio Quagliarella - ST - OVR 82 Quagliarella is the gift that just keeps giving for Sampdoria this year. He continues to compete for the top goalscorer award in Serie A this season, and added another two goals to his tally this week during a 2-1 away win over Spal. With a Winter Upgrade also going the Italian's way, it looks as though he is on the way for a possible 88-rated item. All this before an inevitable TOTS item!

Robert Lewandowski - ST - OVR 90 Lewandowski is probably the co-headlining player for this side and gets the nod after scoring twice for Munich during a 5-1 away win over Gladbach. The Polish striker went on to claim MOTM with a 1.5 from Kicker, putting him among the best performances of the week.

Substitutes

Odisseas Vlachodimos - GK - OVR 78 After a Winter Upgrade, Vlachodimos becomes a viable option for the bench keeper spot. Several players excelled for Benfica in a closely contested 2-1 away win over Porto, and I expect them to pick up an IF due to the importance of the match. With Benfica falling to ten men, it looked as though they would struggle to hold on. But thanks to a few vital saves from Vlachodimos, they managed to hold onto all three points.

John Brooks - CB - OVR 80 I was tempted to go with Michael Keane for his performance in the Merseyside derby, but with Sigurdsson already in the side, I can see EA being happy with the lone Everton inclusion. Bundesliga is always a good league for defensive selections, and with Brooks picking up a spot in their TOTW and a MOTM performance from Kicker, his goal in Wolfsburg's 1-1 draw means I am happy to include him in the side.

Michael Bradley- CDM - OVR 77 It was the return of the MLS this week, and with it, I expect at least one player to feature from the division -- if not more. Bradley seems an obvious enough selection after the American scored not just once but twice from CDM in Toronto FC's 3-1 away win over Philadelphia Union.

Robin Van Persie - CAM - OVR 78 I missed the Feyenoord selection last week, but this one looks far easier to make it back to back Feyenoord IFs with Van Persie managing a hat trick during their 4-0 home win over Emmen. Despite RVP failing to pick up his league's POTW, I still expect him to be the favourite from the Dutch division.

Steven Bergwijn - RM - OVR 80 It's not often we see more than one player from the Eredivisie get the nod from EA in a single week, but with Bergwijn claiming POTW along with an 8.5 match rating, I can't see anything other than that happening here. The youngster scored both PSV goals in their 2-0 away win.

Alvaro Morata - ST - OVR 83 With the sheer quality of gold strikers this week, Morata can only sneak onto the bench, which is at least good news for FUT Champions rewards. It was between both Morata and Stuani for this spot, both of whom scored twice. But with two IFs already for Stuani, alongside the fact Morata has an OTW item, I had to go the way of the Spaniard, who scored both Atletico goals in their 2-0 win over Real Sociedad.

Moussa Dembele - ST - OVR 75 One of the bigger questions this week comes with Fekir v. Dembele, which seems to have many TOTW predictors puzzled. I have to go with the reliable L'Equipe though, who awarded Dembele MOTM with an 8 for his two goals. Alongside the fact he has a Ones to Watch item also, I would be surprised to see him excluded from the side on Wednesday.

Reserves

Ji Dong Won - ST - OVR 71 Although I don't expect five strikers to make the cut, I just couldn't ignore any of them. I debated Won for a long time, but with him picking up Player of the Week with two goals in a shock 2-1 win over Dortmund, in the end, I just couldn't ignore him.

Roberto Ovelar - ST - OVR 71 The first of four hat tricks now, and Ovelar kicks it off scoring three of his side's for goals in a comfortable 4-0 win. I'm unsure if all four will end up making the cut, but I can't dismiss any of them.

Jonson Clarke-Harris - ST - OVR 65 Multiple players in the ELL managed two goals, but it was only Clarke-Harris who managed that elusive third. Because of that, I expect it to be the Bristol Rovers striker to end up getting the nod from said divisions. Rovers went on to win the match 4-0 at home to Blackpool.

Dever Orgill - ST - OVR 63 Since making the move from Austria to Turkey, Orgill has really impressed; a hat trick for Ankaragucu in their 4-2 away win this week saw him move up to five goals in his opening four matches for them. He's proving a vital addition to the side when it comes to moving away from the relegation zone.

Leandre Tawamba - ST - OVR 68 Tawamba has been scoring for fun the past couple of months. But before this week, he had failed to secure the hat-trick obtaining goal and thus missed on featuring in previous TOTWs. He finally got that elusive third goal this week in Al-Taawoun's 4-1 home win, which should result in a more than deserved in-form coming his way.
