FIFA 19 Team of the Week 12 Predictions

Last week's score: 14/23
Formation: 3-4-1-2
Squad Link:

Alessio Cragno - GK - OVR 75 Thankfully this is not a sign of things to come but we start with one of two low rated gold keepers to make the cut. Cragno made a total of 10 saves in Cagliarli's 1-1 away draw which saw him claim Player of the Week in Italy with a match rating of 7.5.

Dani Carvajal - RB - OVR 84 We started a very strong defensive line-up with a bit of a punt in Carvajal. Although offensively the Spaniard didn't directly contribute overall he was the best player on the pitch, as shown by Marca giving him a perfect three-star match rating. I expect the other defenders to happen though and thus this one could be missed off.

Giorgio Chiellini - CB - OVR 89 One of the biggest names this week comes from the defense after Chiellini scored one of the old lady's three goals and helped towards the clean sheet as Juventus recorded a 3-0 win over Fiorentina. With a 7.5 being awarded for Gazzetta you can get excited for this one.

Gerard Pique - CB - OVR 87 From one big name to another in the defense with Pique being the next on the list. Due to his low pace, his non-in-form is one of the cheapest high rated items around and I expect the same to occur with this in-form but if you can get over the fact of his sub 60 pace stat he is a brilliant defender. He gets the Team of the Week nomination after scoring one of Barca's two goals in a 2-0 win over Villarreal.

Serge Gnabry - RM - OVR 82 As the weeks go by more and more league SBC items are becoming almost worthless with IF's looking almost identical. Gnabry looks set to be added to that list after he scored twice of Munich in their 2-1 win over Bremen. With a 1.5 match rating from Kicker he claimed th joint highest rating of the week.

Diego Valeri - CAM - OVR 80 We saw the MLS pick up an IF last week and I expect the same to occur before the conclusion of the season. This weeks selection seems obvious with Valeri scoring twice, with his second being a 98th-minute winner in Portland's 3-2 away win over Kansas City.

Lucas Torreira -CM - OVR 78 Now we have seen so many players get snubbed from TOTW simply because of a teammate outperforming them and the same could be said for Torreira but with myself struggling to finish the side I felt like Torreira was the only option left. The Arsenal man was officially Man of the Match in their 4-2 win over Arsenal despite just scoring once, he dominated in the middle and hopefully, that will get some recognition.

Javier Aquino - LW - OVR 77 Much like the MLS the Mexican league is now in a playoff scenario to decide the title. One side in that process is Tigres from which Aquino is a strong candidate for TOTW. The Mexican scored once and assisted another, making him one of the strongest candidates from the division.

Iago Aspas - ST - 85 OVR Although severely premature the thought of an Aspas TOTS item looks amazing already. Another IF looks like it's on the way after the Celta striker scored twice in their 2-0 home win over Huesca. A Second In-Form which could have 90 shooting! Marca awarded him with three stars and thus it looks likely to happen.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang- ST - OVR 87 Unfortunately for POTM owners with the absence of Lacazette from the starting line-up Aubameyang was deployed in a striker role and thus his IF will come there instead of the LM from which he has operated for t=most the season. With the match coming against Tottenham it makes it that much more significant that PEA scored twice and assisted another. So with the chance of selecting him in TOTW I can't see EA missing it.

Timo Werner - ST - OVR 83 Is it too early for a Third In-Form? Potentially but with a four-week gap, it's a big enough period for Werner to be considered. Just like SIFs, the first TIF is the hardest to come across. Either way I am willing to take the punt on Werner after his two goals in Leipzig's 2-0 saw him claim a 1.5.

Walter Benitez - GK - OVR 75 A bit of a strange selection as if it wasn't for L'Equipe, I would never have selected Benitez, as just the two saves in a 0-0 draw doesn't seem worthy, but obviously I am missing something after the Nice stopper picked up an 8/10 and claimed keeper of the week which is likely to be enough for his inclusion.

Antunes - LB - OVR 80 There were several La Liga options when it came to the defense with Firpo being the other obvious candidate for this spot. With Firpo's recent IF I opted for Antunes though, who scored one of Getafe's three goals in their 3-0 win.

Jonas Martin - CM - OVR 75 When a couple of penalties are scored it is often the case that said player is ignored but in Martin's case it simply put the icing on an already strong performance. His goals and overall performance were vital for Strasbourg in their 4-1 win over Rennes, as indicated by L'Equipe who awarded him an 8/10.

Jasmin Kurtic - CM - OVR 75 We have seen a couple of snubs for Jurtic this year already but with another two goals to his name this week surely the same won't happen again? His goals did come in a draw but with a 7.5 match rating, there's no deputing how important he was to the side in picking up that point.

Javier Hernandez - ST - OVR 79 I almost ignored Hernandez after it seems that Anderson was the official MOTM from numerous sources but with a lack of Premier league options being available I opted for the Mexican after all. Hernandez scored two of West Ham's three goals in a comfortable 3-0 away win over Newcastle.

Fabio Quagliarella - ST - OVR 80 At the age of 35, we saw Quagliarella perform to his highest standard in recent years with Sampdoria last season, now at 36 he is still performing at the highest level. Another two goals came his way this weekend in their 4-1 home win over Bologna from which I expect Quagliarella to pick up his first IF of the year.

Simon Terodde - ST - OVR 76 Terodde was previously robbed of an IF despite scoring a hat trick due to Hector scoring twice and assisting another from LB. This time around he has no competition from teammates and thus should get selected. The German scored twice and assisted another two in Koln's convincing 4-0 win.

Jordan Torunarigha - CB - OVR 70 There were a couple of silver options from the Bundesliga this week and although Zentner was officially POTW I have decided to snub him in favour of Torunarigha of whom scored once, assisted another and kept a clean sheet in Hertha's 2-0 win.

Robert Skov - RM - OVR 72 Copenhagen recorded a convincing 6-1 win away at Horsens, who went down to 10 men after just 21 minutes, with first-choice keeper, Delac, being the man to go. Copenhagen took full advantage of the extra man and it looks set to be Skov who makes his way into TOTW because of it, scoring three goals from RM.

Joe Lolley - LM - OVR 70 Nottingham Forest played out an unorthodox 5-5 draw with Aston Villa on Wednesday night which is not something you see every week. Joe Lolley should really get into TOTW 12 after scoring once and assisting another five but with so many factors going against him he is far from a certainty which seems ridiculous and it is.

Tammy Abraham - ST - OVR 74 Some scenarios are just too obscure to find out how EA have dealt with it in the past and despite it being a midweek Championship match with both players being silver and on different sides, I have had to include both. Abraham is the second in the previously mentioned 5-5 draw after he scored four of Villa's five goals.

Danny Graham - ST - OVR 68 It looks as though the Championship is getting the reserves section to themselves with yet another addition in Graham. The Blackburn striker scored three of their four goals as they recorded a 4-2 win.
