FIFA 19 Team of the Week 4 Predictions

Last week's score: 16/23
Formation: 3-4-1-2
Squad Link:

Hugo Lloris - GK - OVR 88 We start the prediction off with what is easily the biggest punt in the prediction but with next to no goalkeeping options and the Premier league also being limited it leaves room for Lloris who made a total of five saves in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Cardiff. I expect this position to be completely random in truth though.

Benedikt Howedes - LB - OVR 81 It's been a while since we have seen an in-form from the Russian Premier League League of Russia, but seeing as though they were awarded a couple of Ones to Watch, this season I expect that they are now able to receive IFs again. Howedes can test that theory on Wednesday after he scored the only goal of the game during Lokomotiv's 1-0 away win over CSKA.

Matthijs De Ligt - CB - OVR 80 Ajax ran away as 5-0 winners when they hosted AZ on Sunday with multiple players getting on the scoresheet. Often in a 5-0 win the defensive side doesn't get recognised but De Ligt has which only emphasises how important he is for the side. He did pick up an assist as well but his performance in general saw him claim player of the week in Holland with an 8/10.

Ezequiel Garay - CB - OVR 82 Once again Barca failed to pick up three points with Valencia being the latest side to hold them to a draw. With this selection being almost identical to that of De Marcos' last week, I am willing to once again take the punt. Garay scored in the second minute to take an early lead before Messi tied the score with 1-1 going on to be the final result.

Pablo Sarabia - CM - OVR 81 Once again, we could be looking at a Sevilla IF and it comes from a player I have already wrongly predicted this year with Sarabia. This time the CM scored one and assisted another in their 2-1 win and once again picked up a full three stars from MARCA in the process. He has no competition from team mates this time around, so he doesn't have that to worry about.

Hulk - CAM - OVR 81 With top playing bottom it was always likely that we would see an IF from Shanghai and although I have opted for Hulk's goal and assist there are several players in contention. As it stands I am limited on CSL sources, but I believe Hulk was the official Man of the Match and therefore I shall look no further. Shanghai went on to win the game 5-0, making it five wins on the bounce for the league leaders.

Marcel Sabitzer - CM - OVR 81 Had Werner not already received an IF I believe he would be looking at him this week instead of Sabitzer but that’s not the case and instead we go for the Austrian. Both players picked up a 1.5 from Kicker after Leipzig's 6-0 hammering of Nurnberg and although Werner was MOTM I can't see the match being ignored.

Kylian Mbappe - RM - OVR 87 Although you could argue that Mbappe was a striker seeing as though Cavani went off after 13 minutes due to a red card his official starting position was RM and that where I believe he will be given the IF. There is no debating that he will pick up an IF though after scoring four goals in the space of 13 minutes during PSG's 5-0 win over Lyon.

Paco Alcacer - ST - OVR 79 If you were even remotely tempted to get Paco's FUT swap item this will surely make you look elsewhere with Paco being nailed on for an IF on Wednesday. Dortmund once again put on a spectacle for all their fans playing out a 4-3 win over Augsburg. Alcacer scored the final goal and his hat trick via the last kick of the game with a freekick from 25 yards, simply magical.

Mauro Icardi - ST - OVR 87 There were a few players from Serie A with braces, a couple of which are big names. Icardi picked up one of the higher ratings to go alongside his brace though and therefore he is the better option from them. His two goals came as Inter won 2-1 away at Spal.

Alexandre Lacazette - ST - OVR 84 By far the most controversial selection of the week with many expecting PEA to be the Arsenal option but the Frenchman was the one that made it all happen with his constant threat seeing both the first and second goals go his way. PEA did score twice and assist another, but it was off the bench with the result pretty much already sealed. Lacazette was the MOTM from every source I have on top of that.

Pacheco - GK - OVR 79 Alaves pulled off the shock result of the week when they came away with a 1-0 win over Real Madrid. I can’t see the result being ignored but with no clear option it comes to personal opinion. With there being a lack of goalkeepers available his five saves could be enough to see him in.

Lorenzo Tonelli - CB - OVR 77 I almost opted for another gold mid in this position with both Castro and Trezeguet standing out, but I wanted to keep the correct format and thus kept with a defender. Tonelli is the player I went with after he scored the only goal in Sampdoria's 1-0 away win.

James Forrest - RM - OVR 76 Both Celtic and Forrest enjoyed the first half away at St Johnstone to say the least with the winger scoring four first half goals in what saw them lead 5-0 at the break. Celtic went on to secure a 6-0 win with Forrest being the stand out player. Rogic also deserves a mention for his three assists but two Celtic IFs realistically won’t happen

Sebastian Blanco - LM - OVR 75 We look set to see the third IF for the MLS already which when the main leagues are in action is a rarity. Blanco among many others performed to a high standard but seeing as though Blanco is a gold item I believe he has the edge over others. The Argentine scored twice and assisted another as Portland went on to beat RSL 4-1.

Francois Kamano - LW - OVR 75 Although the Ligue 1 TOTW was largely dominated by PSG brilliance Kamano didn't go unnoticed with the winger being awarded an 8/10 for his brace in Bordeaux's 2-0 win over Nice.

Alfredo Donnarumma - ST - OVR 75 Back to the hat tricks now with Donnarumma after the Italian scored three in Brescia's 4-1 home win. Although one was from the spot with him being a gold item I can't see a possibility of him being ignored.

Joshua King - ST - OVR 78 With sever premier league matches offering nothing when it comes to TOTW options I feel that King's brace will be enough to see him in, despite one of those goals coming from the spot. The Bournemouth result further helps his case with a 4-0 thumping of Watford.

Rafal Gikiewicz - GK - OVR 72 Following the trend of the past couple of FIFA's when a goalkeeper scores a late goal to level the match it often results in an IF. I expect the same to occur here after Gikiewicz scored in the 94th minute to secure a 1-1 draw.

Damian Martinez - RB - OVR 67 Only three or four times per FIFA do you get a player which does something extraordinary and Martinez falls into that category. The role of defenders is the keep the clean sheet and while Martinez managed that he also took matters into his own hands. The Argentine was directly involved in all four of his side’s goals with both two goals and two assists in their 4-0 win.

Hildeberto Pereira - LM - OVR 63 EA seem to want to limit bronzes to a maximum of one per week and there is no doubt about who that one player will be this week after Pereira scored all three Setubal goals in a 3-0 home win from the LM position. He looks to be a useable IF if silvers were still a thing.

Jonathan Bamba - RM - OVR 71 Bamba has been close to an IF on multiple occasions already this year and I fully expect him to pick up more with the 22-year-old being one of the stand out players in Ligue 1 so far. He added another two goals to his tally alongside an assist which I believe will finally be enough for him to pick up an IF.

Lukas Jutkiewicz - ST - OVR 68 Birmingham handed another loss to struggling Rotherham, making them winless in five with a 3-1 home win. Target man, Jutkiewicz scored all three of those goals which helped hand Birmingham just their second win of the season.
