Hello and welcome to my Bundesliga TOTS prediction! Before you start checking the squad I quickly want to leave a few words here for those who might ask about some players who are not included. Bundesliga TOTS is voted by Fans, club captains and associates and limited to 15 players in packs which means there are less options to choose from. Most likely those will make it who are either hyped like Silas or better known worldwide. Keep that in mind before you ask for players who aren't in, it all comes down to the nominees and also keep in mind that there will be an objective player and a few SBCs. Ratings have been adjusted as we've noticed that the players are not that boosted like expected before.

GK – VfL Wolfsburg - 85 -> 91 Rated:
The Genk and Hoffenheim youth product Casteels who joined Wolfsburg in 2015 has been in sensational form this season, keeping 13 clean sheets in 31 games, sitting second in the Bundesliga Golden Glove list behind Leipzig's shot stopper Gulasci. To put things in perspective, the Belgian has kept 5 more clean sheets than Manuel Neuer this season who is lauded for his efforts between the sticks.
R. Guerreiro LB – Borussia Dortmund - 86 -> 91 Rated: Arguably Guerreio is the Bundesliga's best left-back „playmaker“. A left-back who pops up in 'number 10' positions and is one of the key players at Dortmund this season, even though he slowed down for a few games like literally the whole team but he has this extraordinary ability to make things happen. His numbers this season speaking facts with four goals and eight assists.
Angelino LWB – RB Leipzig - 83 -> 90 Rated: Things might not have worked out for the young Spaniard under Guardiola at City, but he has been absolutely explosive for RB Leipzig ever since moving there. He does tend to be caught off-position quite often but has a strong burst of pace to make up for it most of the times. Also, under Nagelsmann's preferred three-men defence system the 24-year-old gets a lot of liberty to surge up front, which he exploits with his quick dribbling and shooting which resulted in four goals and four assist.
CB – Borussia Dortmund - 88 -> 93 Rated:
Although he doesn't quite share Upamecano's youth or explosive turn of pace, Hummels remains a physical specimen two inches further clear of the six-foot mark than the young Frenchman at 6'3“, and the Dortmund vice-captain uses his height and experience to devastating effect in both boxes. Hummels has won the second most aerial challenges of all Bundesliga centre-backs this season – just Fabian Klos from Bielefeld has won more – and also scored five goals which is quite some conversion for a central defender.
RB – VfL Wolfsburg - 72 -> 88 Rated:
One who just missed out on a Community TOTS and thus will be in my prediction for the Bundesliga side is Ridle Baku. He's a regular starter for Wolfsburg and one of Germany's great hopes on the right hand side. His good first touch, an eye for goals and a box-to-box work rate are all things that come to Baku. That being said, the 22-year-old scored six goals and assisted another four for Wolfsburg so far and deserves his TOTS but he could also end up getting a silver star item.
CM – FC Bayern - 89 -> 93 Rated:
Having signed for the record champions Bayern from Schalke in the summer of 2018, Goretzka has blossomed into a truly world-class box-to-box midfielder for Flick's all-conquering Bayern Munich outfit. He was deployed in no less than six different positions in 2018/2019 but all of that has changed under Flick, who gave him the role in the centre of the midfield where he's thriving now.
CDM – FC Bayern - 96 -> 95 Rated:
No one interprets or personifies the position better than the man who has emerged as one of the wold's best. He quietly goes about his business, providing the platform for others to take the spotlight. No matter what Bayern's game requires, Kimmich can deliver it and is probably one of the most complete midfielders in world football at the moment. Previous remarks about his ability to create goals could have been aimed at the Bayern man. This season, however, he has provieded 10 assists and scored three goals.
RM – Borussia Dortmund - 92 -> 94 Rated:
It has been a tail of two halves for Sancho. After being linked with a move to Manchester United all summer, he made a slow start to the Bundesliga campaign before finding his rhythm.
He has netted six league goals, all in 2021 alongside nine assist and Dortmund clearly was lacking creativity when he was out for a few week with a muscle injury. His comeback last weekend might just came for the right time as things are starting to heat up in the race for the final Champions Leagzue spot and with the chance to win the DFB Cup.
RM – VfB Stuttgart - 82 -> 89 Rated:
Silas is perhaps the pick of the Stuttgart side brimming with talents. The former Ligue 2 attacker with Paris FC, who was linked with a move to Premier League earlier in his career, has done quite for himself in Germany, even winning the Rookie of the Month award in December. In addition to his pace, Wamangituka is a lethal forward, having netted 11 times this season and assisted another four.
ST – Borussia Dortmund - 90 -> 95 Rated:
There is not much that hasn't already been said about this Norwegian sensation. The Norway international has been a revelation this season and looks next in line for the footballing throne alongside Mbappé. He has carried Borussia Dortmund at times this season and his goals have been around to keep Dortmund in the race for a place in the Champions League next season. Although he had a few quiet weeks recently he still managed to score 25 goals and assisted another five.
R. Lewandowski ST – FC Bayern - 98-> 97 Rated: This will cause a debate as opinions are different but Lewandowski, who has been crowned Men's best player earlier in the year, is clearly the best striker in the world at the moment. He has netted a staggering 36 goals this term and is on the brink of breaking the legendary Gerd Müller's 40-goal record in a single season with two matches left to play. He and Bayern Munich have been nearly unstoppable once again this season and look on course to seal their ninth consecutive league title.
LB – SC Freiburg - 84 -> 90 Rated:
A really good looking and „cheap“ TOTS left-back could come in the name of Christian Günter. Freiburg#s captain, who just signed a contract extension is one of Freiburg's record players and also one of their best and most consistent this season. He took a step forward on the pitch this season and also showed he able to score goals with three goals to his name so far.
CAM – FC Bayern - 89 -> 93 Rated:
The self-appointed Raumdeuter's time seemed to have been over a couple of years ago, but unsurprisingly, he has found space to wiggle back into his best. Famously not the most gifted footballer, Thomas Müller makes up for his shortcomings with his leadership and a sheer knack for moving wittily across the pitch while making most of his abilities. Flick has successfully avoided making the same mistake Kovac did with ostracising Müller from the main squad and his stats speaking for itself with 10 goals and 17 assists to his name.
LM – Eintracht Frankfurt - 88 -> 92 Rated:
Eintracht Frankfurt are flying quite high right now and are probably about to qualify for Champions League football next season. The Serbian international was signed in the summer of 2018 and is used as a left wing-back since then with the license to go forward. He's probably the most important performer in this brilliant Frankfurt side beside Andre Silva with 4 goals and 12 assists to his name and is definetly a deserved inclusion in the Bundesliga TOTS.
A. Silva ST – Eintracht Frankfurt - 87 -> 92 Rated: Andre Silva has had a terrific career turnaround since joining Frankfurt from AC Milan, initially on loan. After 16 goals last term, he has made a drastic improvement with 25 goals this season in the league and he and his side are still one point ahead of Dortmund for the final Champions League spot.
Reserves, Other Options or SBCs
GK – RB Leipzig - 86 -> 91 Rated:
We're starting the prediction with a goalkeeper who's name is not Manuel Neuer and I'm sure this will cause a debate. Gulacsi has carved his name as one of Bundesliga's best goalkeepers in recent seasons, playing a vital part in establishing RB Leipzig's footing as one of Europe and Germany's best teams. The Hungarian international has just conceded 25 goals this season, the lowest by ay goalkeeper in the league and also kept 15 clean sheets in 31 games.
CAM – Eintracht Frankfurt - 81 -> 88 Rated:
Eintracht Frankfurt experienced a difficult spell in the autumn after a promising start to the 2020/21 season. However, they recovered and currently lie fourth in the Bundesliga. Daichi Kamada's role for his side is vital in his third campaign for them. He's not only versatile and fits into a variety of tactical set-ups, he's also capable of scoring a variety of goals and further contributes to his team either by assisting directly or creating space with his runs and movement.
ST – VfL Wolfsburg - 86 -> 90 Rated:
Wolfsburg are currently sitting third in the Bundesliga table and going for a Champions League spot, in part down to the goals of Wout Weghorst. The striker is having an excellent campaign so far, scoring 20 league goals and adding seven assists. However, this still wasn't enough for him to get a call-up for the national team but it's no surprise that he is linked with a move to an international top club.
RB – Union Berlin - 81 -> 88 Rated:
The Union Berlin captain and his side are having an outstanding season so far. In the defensive phase Trimmel is a solid if unspectacular right-back, but it is in possession where he shines. After having nine assist last season for Union he is already at eight again with three matchdays left and also managed to add one goals to his tally.
CAM – Borussia M'gladbach - 86 -> 90 Rated:
Lars Stindl has been at Borussia Mönchengladbach since mooving to the club in summer 2015 and the 32-year-old is a key member in Gadbach's attack. The central attacking midfielder and Gladbach captain, who won Player of the month in December, has scored 12 goals and added six assists to his name so far this season and is one of a just a few Gladbach players I expect to get a TOTS card.
LB – FC Bayern - 93 -> 91 Rated:
Since the Bundesliga TOTS will be decided via fan voting (same way the POTM works) we can probably expect Davies to make it even though it wouldn't really be deserved. He surely is one of the best young left-backs in the world although he still has a lot to improve defensively but when he's fit he's a weapon on the left hand side for Bayern. As I said, he was injured a lot of the season and thus shouldn't get a TOTS but he's very popular so I honestly expect him to still get a card or probably some sort of SBC.
ST – VfB Stuttgart - 76 -> 88 Rated:
The tallest player in the Bundesliga at 6'5“, VfB Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic has been head and shoulders above many in this, his debut season in Germany's top-flight. The 2020/21 season is proving to be a breakout campaign for Kalajdzic with 14 goals and also four assists and if he continues to impress then it will be interesting to see if bigger clubs make a move for him in the summer transfer window.
ST – TSG Hoffenheim - 86 -> 90 Rated:
The last player in my prediction and the only one from Hoffenheim is Kramaric. The Croatia international has been profilic for his side this season and with 17 goals and three assists Kramaric is sitting fifth in the scoring charts. The 29-year-old approaches the final year of his contract and is currently linked with AC Milan for a move in the summer.
