Last week's score: 17/23

Steve Mandanda - GK - OVR 82 Football is a strange sport, especially when you consider that a keeper’s ability shouldn't vary from league to league as it's the same game, right? Apparently not. Mandanda was superb in France before failing to impress in England for Palace. Now that he is back over in France, he is back to his best once more. Marseille have conceded 43 in the 36 games they have played, which is not particularly special, but if it wasn't for Mandanda, it would have been a lot more.
Jerome Roussillon - LB - OVR 76 One of the surprise packages of the season must be Roussillon who has been brilliant at the back throughout the 2017/18 campaign for Montpellier. He is among the highest average ratings in Ligue 1 and has chipped in with both three goals and three assists. What’s more with a decent TOTS upgrade his item will become one of the best cheap LBs in the game.
Kamil Glik - CB - OVR 85 I think it's safe to say that Glik's impact was not quite at the level of last season but he is still an important part of Monaco's defense. Cementing himself as one of the best defenders in the division. The Polish international still contributed offensively with both three goals and three assists but gets in due to his all-round game rather than simply offensive stats this season.
Thiago Silva - CB - OVR 88 Thiago Silva is still recognised as one of the best defenders in the world and there’s a lot of reasons for that being the case. The Brazilian was a rock once again at the back for PSG, helping them to their defensive record. Although he hasn't done much offensively a defender’s job is to defend and he is one of the best in the business of doing exactly that.
Dani Alves - RB - OVR 84 One day we will see a drop off in Dani Alves's performances but every year he continues to sneak into each TOTY side and this one was no different although it was by far the closest he has come to missing out. In terms of TOTS he looks an easy selection at RB with PSG securing the best defense in the division alongside chipping in with a goal and seven assists.
Neymar - LW - OVR 92 Neymar's move to PSG was a somewhat controversial one, but the Brazilian has been nothing less of superb. Despite being limited to just the twenty games, he has contributed to an impressive 32 in those, with 19 goals and 13 assists to his name. Although he is in Ligue 1, not many can boast about those sorts of statistics. Once again proving why he is among the elite players in the world.
Dimitri Payet - CAM - OVR 84 The good news is it looks as though Payet will be a CAM for TOTS. The bad news is that it's close. Regardless of position, the Frenchman is highly likely to be included in the side after he leads in terms of assists with 13 to his name. Chipping in with six goals while he’s at it as well.
Marco Verratti - CM - OVR 88 On paper Verratti may not look like a great option with just three assists. This is further questionable when I tell you that he has only started 20 matches. Like several other players in top clubs he can be classed as the player which although doesn't grab headlines week in week out is crucial to the dynamic of the club. After all, to pick up two IFs for just three assists over a season shows that his performances are huge.
Kylian Mbappe - RW - OVR 84 Although it’s safe to say that the transfer fee paid for Mbappe was a risk due to the excessive amount if he plays for them like he has done for the next 10 years it will be more than worth it. The youngster showed great talent throughout the year, scoring 13 and assisting another eight.
Edinson Cavani - ST - OVR 88 PSG always knew that they had a more than capable replacement for Ibra in Cavani but the Uruguayan has managed to live up to the standard of Ibra, scoring week in week out. He leads the Ligue 1 race for the Golden boot with 28 goals, eight more than anyone else. Much better than when he was forced to play out on the left.
Falcao - ST - OVR 84 Although not even remotely close to the level we saw of him at Atletico Madrid Falcao has fully recovered from his time in the Premier League now that he is over in France. He looks set to pick up his second consecutive TOTS spot after scoring 18 goals in the 25 matches he featured in.
Anthony Lopes - GK - OVR 84 My second keeper is a familiar face in Lopes who would be in for the third time in four seasons should he go on to make it. With 38 goals conceded in 36 games they hold the third best defensive record in the division. Lecomte can feel hard done by for missing out but I feel as though the two selected are slightly stronger.
Presnel Kimpembe - CB - OVR 78 I feel as though the sole reason that Kimpembe missed out on a spot in the community TOTS was his rating. He was by far one of the best options on paper after breaking into the PSG side making himself a regular at just 22. He stands at third in the defensive rankings on L'Equipe and looks set to develop into one of the best defenders in world football.
Fabinho - CDM - OVR 84 It is perhaps a little harsh to leave Fabinho on the bench but I am aiming more to get the correct players rather than spot in the side. Fabinho picked up a spot in community TOTS which whether he deserved it or not will further help his case in a side he deserves to be included in. A re-release should help push his price down from what is a very usable item.
Nabil Fekir - CAM - OVR 84 Lyon's simply extraordinary end to the season has allowed them to jump into second position with the one game to go. Fekir has played a big role in their success, regularly contributing offensively. He hits in seventh for the highest goal scorer and has seven additional assists.
Memphis Depay - LW - OVR 80 Although towards the end of the season Depay was deployed a striker. For most it he was in his usual LW role and thus that's where I believe his TOTS will be placed. The Dutchman has grown from strength to strength over the past couple of season. Showing why United initially purchased him. He has an impressive 16 goals and 12 assists to his name playing a huge part in Lyon's week to week performances.
Florian Thauvin - RM - OVR 83 Outside of the obvious PSG selections the Newcastle reject of Thauvin has been the player of the season for many. The French winger has scored an impressive 20 goals, with 10 assists to go alongside that in just 33 games. These consistent performances have helped carry Marseille into European football with a chance of still snatching champions league from either Monaco or Lyon.
Mariano - ST - OVR 80 Mariano obviously always had talent after going through the Madrid youth system but never really showed what he was fully capable of. That was until this season from which he has really excelled for Lyon. He is now 24 years of age so can't really be classified as a youngster but he still has a bright future ahead of him. He recorded 18 goals for Lyon this season and obtained an impressive +4 winter upgrade item.
Marcelo - CB - OVR 81 It's been a strong debut season for Marcelo who made the move to Lyon from Besiktas who has seemingly peaked over the past couple of seasons. He was awarded with a winter upgrade and two IF's by EA this FIFA after playing an important role at the back for Lyon while also finding the net on three occasions. Lyon now look to finish second after a strong end to the season and thus I expect that to be reflected by the number of TOTS items they receive.
Luiz Gustavo - CDM - OVR 82 Perhaps Gustavo was more impressive towards the start of the season but I feel as though the Brazilian has still been impressive enough throughout the campaign to be recognised. Consistently helping with the defensive side of the game he has also chipped in offensively with five goals and an assist. You must go all the way back to FIFA 12 to find Gustavo's previous TOTS item but it's one that will be welcomed back with open arms.
Malcom - RW - OVR 82 One of the few players I feel will make the cut outside of the big four sides is Malcom. Although he failed to pick up an IF throughout the season his consistent performances have continued to tally up leaving the Brazilian with ten goals and six assists this season. There’s a reason as to why several big clubs are chasing the youngster and this season is a big reason why.
Adrien Rabiot - CM - OVR 82 This was the final spot for me to fill and I would be lying if I said it was easy. There were several players I considered but I felt that Rabiot was the best in the end after he picked up a spot in community TOTS to go alongside his +2-winter upgrade showing that EA rate him highly.
Karl Toko-Ekambi - ST - OVR 78 This year’s surprise package came with Angers striker Ekambi. Currently sitting as the sixth highest scorer, Ekambi has an impressive 17 goals and five assists which when Angers only have a total of 41 goals shows his importance to the side and without him they may well have struggled to stay in the division.
