Italian AC Monza player Cacciapuoti claimed the $2000 grand prize in the long running European tournament. In the North American tournament, FC Cincinnati's esports player Thornsberry won his sixth title in eight title appearances — only trailing overall leader NYCFC’s Chris ‘didychrislito’ Holly.
In the European final Cacciapuoti met last week’s winner Oliver 'Oliboli7' Uttgren, who claimed the $500 runner-up prize. Cacciapuoti prevented a hattrick of successive cup wins for Uttgren — which Uttgren had last week denied Corentin 'Maestro' Thuillier. Having won last week’s final 6-2, this week Uttgren was on the other end of that same scoreline. Cacciapuoti won the tournament on his debut in the competition, and, with this tidy buildup and finish, scored the Goal of the Night with FUT Birthday Allan Saint-Maximin.
Later on, Thornsberry faced Alex ‘Tsobi7’ Tsobanakis in a far tighter final. The two legs finished 3-3, with Tsobanakis scoring a penalty in the final minute to take the game to Golden Goal. It took until the 59th for Thornsberry to score the winner — the kind of scrappy goal that often decides the closest of games. Despite numerous blocks, Tsobanakis couldn’t get the ball away, and ended the competition as runner-up.
