Swedish Orgryte IS player Ruttgren claimed the $2000 grand prize in the long running European tournament. In the South American tournament, FC Basel's Argentinian esports player Villalba won his second title in as many editions of the competition.
In the European final Ruttgren continued his friendly rivalry with Frenchman Corentin 'Maestro' Thuillier. Last week the Swede prevented a Thuillier streak of 3 back-to-back Tuesday Night Football wins. This week Ruttgren's 6-2 aggregate victory in the final puts him level on TNF trophies with Thuillier, who claimed the $500 runner-up prize and the Goal of the Tournament with a cunning set piece with TOTY Cristiano Ronaldo.
Later in the evening Villalba's secured his second South American TNF win. The final was a tighter affair, as he beat fellow Argentine Diego 'Diegog1996' González of Dux Gaming 2-1 on aggregate. The highlight of this tournament wasn't a goal, as you might expect, but a save — in the very last minute of the final game 82 rated inform Nick Pope used his 'Saves With Feet' trait to fantastic effect, denying Gonzalez a goal that would have tied the game and put him back in contention for the $2000 dollar prize. Instead he exits with the $500 runner-up prize.
Thank you to all our competitors, the whole Tuesday Night Football team and everyone who tuned in!
