There won't be a FIFA 19 TOTW until 14 August

If you were chomping at the bit for Summer legend Lee Dong Gook to get back on the horse and pull down his first in-form since FIFA 17, you're going to have to wait a little bit longer.

EA officially announced Wednesday afternoon UK/morning in North America that not unlike FIFA 18, their Live Content team would be suspending releasing new Team of the Weeks until Wednesday, 14 August. To add some context to the time line, that should either be preceding or just after the 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup, which traditionally bookends the FIFA competitive calendar.

As for what comes in its absence -- last year's title saw regular "Team of the Matchdays" for the 2018 Men's World Cup, but they weren't necessarily released on Wednesdays -- we're only left to speculate for now. The more loquacious of late @EASPORTSFIFA Twitter account teased that we'll have to tune in this coming Wednesday, 3 July, most likely at 3 p.m. UK when TOTW is usually announced, to find out:

What do you think we're getting while TOTW is in another hiatus?
