FUT 19 OTW: Launch date is here

The day we've all been waiting for is really, truly, actually finally here.

It's #FIFAFriday all around the world, as the game's world wide launch is official. If you haven't gotten your copy yet, it's not too late. But whether you've been waiting anxiously since EA Access for today, or you just received your copy in the mail today, along with launch comes the roll out of FUT 19's first batch of Ones to Watch items.

For those new to the game mode, Ones to Watch items are dynamic special player items that automatically get ratings upgrades each time that player gets a Team of the Week, Man of the Match, Hero, or Record Breaker in-form. Though static standalone versions of each of those are available when they come out, if a better rated version comes out later, you risk losing coins if you don't have the OTW version. Their ratings are also not updated like the Ones to Watch ones are.

OTWs historically have not received upgrades for Team of the Season or Team of the Year items.

The batch this year looks a bit stronger in the middle than some recent releases. In FUT 17 and FUT 18, there were both Summer and Winter transfer Ones to Watch items.

Though we already knew about the Cristiano Ronaldo, Leon Goretzka, Thomas Lemar, and as of last night/early this morning, Radja Nainggolan OTWs, the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Jorginho, and Naby Keita round out a fairly strong group.
