When paired with a Shadow Chemistry style and on 10 Chem, this card is not at all obsolete. He has better defending and passing stats then most gold cards, and at 65 shooting, you shouldn't be afraid to take the shot if he's in the position to. Paired with a pacey fullback like Van Aanholt, and next to a strong or fast defender (in this case Pazdan for the TOTS banter), he'll be stopping chance after chance.
